When Holmes applied for membership at a gun range - they immediately Flagged him as suspicious. Why did he get by the educational 'experts' to get the grant?

The Federal Government has no business in education which is a State & Local responsibility.

A grant is not a big check with your name on it. It usually goes into an account under the student's name in the student's department. The student can draw on the funds to pay school and research expenses and, depending on the terms of the grant, can allocate a stipend for themselves. So far there's been little or no information about where Holmes got the money for the weapons and ammunition. From what I've heard and read so far, he might have ordered the bomb and booby trap materials through his department. All of this information will, hopefully, come out at trial.

Unless you've got a really good crystal ball or some other conduit to the future, there's no way to tell with 100% surety which students with grants will be successful and who won't.

What a waste of a grant. If I got a grant like that I would be so happy. Why would he ruin everything he worked for?
