How to update iPhone to ios 4 without updating ios 5.1.1?
My brother got an iPhone 3GS a couple years ago and he recently upgraded. I got the second hand iPhone, 'cause my old one sucked and it was a free iPhone.
Anyway, several events conspired to make it so that I never upgraded to ios 4 when it came out, nor did I get ios 4.1 or any of the newer ones.
Now when I go into iTunes, the option to upgrade to IOS 5.1.1 comes up. Since my brother and I use the same computer, he has been upgrading as he goes along, but I haven't.
I'm a little leery of updating 5.1.1 onto my 3GS until I know it can handle it, as it's only 3.1.3 as is.
Is there any way to upgrade to 4 without going the whole way to 5.1.1?

Undoubtedly Chris is stupid, so don't hearken to him. I just reccomend that you just go to Cydia and write down a record of the Cydia Apps you wish to have. Just be warned, now not all apps is probably not compatible with iOS 6.
