I love the olympics and i just want to know what time it really starts.

Some Sports start today. There will be at least 2 Women's Soccer (Football) Games in Glasgow, Scotland today. I know The United States plays in one Game and North Korea is playing in the other. I also think Archery starts today. A number of Sports will start early rounds over the next 4 days.

The games start on the 28 but you can watch the ceremonies on the 27 of July

The games have already started. The group play football match between New Zealand and England is on TV **right now**. The people who claim that they do not start until the 27th have no idea which end is up.

Competiton in football (soccer) starts today, July 25. There will be no competition on Friday, July 27 because of the opening ceremonies. Competiton begins in earnest on Saturday, July 28.

The opening cermonies will happen on Friday 27 July. NBC is covering all the activities for USA TV.
