Hunger Games fans and or avid readers? Yeah...I need your input?

Okay. Last September, I finished Catching Fire. I still haven't gotten to Mockingjay nearly a year later. I finally bought it at Barnes and Noble tonight, but I still don't know if I should put it in my top priorities list. Recently, the books I'm reading at the moment have cleared up enormously. I just finished this huge series that I started in April. And I'm putting off reading the rest of this other series because I'm losing interest, somewhat. Still want to read it though. Anyway, I'm wondering if Mockingjay is worth it? I've heard some yes's and some no's. I want to know if it's so good, that I must read it now. Like, it has to be instant action and Katniss awesomeness pretty early on. Otherwise, I really have other things I should be getting to before I lose the free time that summer gives me. So should I read it now, or is it not really something I should put on my top priorities list? Thanks for the answers, and no spoiling please.

Update:

@withlove: Oh, I'll definitely finish the series before Catching Fire even comes out. I just want to know if I should read it now.

    I personally wouldn't recommend reading it now. It was my least favorite book of the series but that's just my opinion. I thought that the original Hunger Games was the best.

    Well, the first Hunger Games book was definitely the best.

    For me, I was a little disappointed in Mockingjay. Most of the action happened right at the end and even then, I was a bit bored. Still very good. But not as good as the first two books (in my opinion). Anyways, if you're reading other books right now then maybe finish those first and read Mockingjay after.

    It's a really good book, I read it in about two days because I just couldn't put it down. It has a lot of action and is completely different from Catching Fire. If I were you, and I didn't want to finish another book series due to losing interest, I'd definitely read Mockingjay wherever I had the spare time. ^^

    But your choice, of course. ^^;

    I honestly don't like Mockingjay. I have the book and found it a chore to read up to chapter six. I've been putting off finishing it for months. I would suggest doing more important things sense I don't think Mockingjay is worth it.

  • I thought it was pretty good. You should finish the series, that way when it comes out in theaters, it won't spoil it for you. Movies are never as good as the books.
