Giving an old Tracfone to someone. What do they need to do in order to activate it?
Do they need a new SIM? Obviously the # will need to be changed from the one that is registered to that phone.

If the old Tracfone does not have any minutes left on the phone, they actually want you to put some minutes in the phone to activate it.
A few weeks ago my old Tracfone broke physically. Someone had an extra Tracfone, so they wanted to give me their old phone. The customer service operator said that phone would have to have minutes on it to become activated.
