This is a loaded question. As I am sure you were aware when you posted the question, the 'Lake Wobegon Effect' is the tendency for most people to describe themselves or their abilities as above average. If I tell you that I once fished in Lake Wobegon for eels from the stern of the 'Marie Celest' in the summer of 1947, you will never know if I really did, or if it was a manifestation of the 'Lake Wobegon Effect'.

Went out with a bunch of Lutheran Ministers once...we didn't catch any walleye, but did get to see a nice Elvis show and didn't get hit by any flying bowling balls....speaking of which, did you know Lake Woebegone is the nude parasailing destination of the decade? LSHIBMDOMN!
