Is it wrong to eat Bacon during Ramadan?
Basically I'm coming back from college in California to my really really conservative Muslim family, and it's Ramadan. Now I'm obliged to fast because I'm in their house, but I myself am not really religious at all... I drink I have fun with the ladies just like any other dude at college. I work hard, get good grades and I just want to have fun now during summer, but Ramadan has come up out of nowhere. I don't really care much for fasting and I find the whole thing rather pointless, but I still respect the wishes of my family so I'm trying it out. Pork is not allowed in Islam, so should I completely refrain from it while I'm in my parents house?

It's wrong to eat it anytime of the year, just forbidden that's all.

Well, since you're not fasting for yourself and more just to respect your family, yes. Its Haram and you know it.

No, it's not wrong to eat bacon. If Islam is truly without compulsion, then you should be free to do what you want. But in your parent's house, you should abide by their wishes. Don't eat pork there. Go out and get some when you want though.

No it is not ...the one and only true God of all gods (not Allah) blessed Earth with pigs so we humans could sustain ourselves and eat them. Eat plenty of bacon and ham and bbq spareribs!!
