Why do girls want a guy to text them first?

Because if we text first we think we will seem clingy or annoying. Also, because it shows that the guy actually wants to talk to the girl.

Because it shows that you give two. When a guy texts a girl for the first time, it shows that he actually cares, and actually wants to talk to you.. Otherwise, if the girl is always texting first, it makes us feel like you are only responding because you feel like you have to.. Just text first at least once, and your friendship/relationship will increase massively.. :)

Makes them feel wanted and special. Maybe they feel like theyre putting themselves out there initiating conversation via text. Whatever the reason, remember the female mind is a nearly impossible puzzle to guys. Save yourself some time from thinking and more confusion and just text them first haha

manners...like you would usually let a girl walk out the door first and stuff! its an unsaid rule! a girl feels in the way and desperate if they text you first, say hi first, make the first move etc...

because we know that if you text first you mean it and want to talk, but if we text first, we think that 'are they just replying because they think they have to' If you text first it shows that you are interested. We also don't want to sound needy or desperate.

So they know who's the easier target man...

Back when I was younger it's always "Ladies first..." Screw that! This is total BS!

Because we want to know that you like us too and aren't just texting back to be nice when we text you first. and we like when guys make the 'first move'.

Because we want to know a guy likes us & we don't want to be annoying or make him think we're a stalker
