Having typed in my keyword and chosen from the list of hits I am always taken to the Ebay site. What is going on and how can this be remedied?

I'm guessing here - you really should have put in more details - but if you're using the small search box to the right of the address, then there's a pull-down menu that determines which site your search string is sent to - my Firefox browser has Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ebay, Twitter, Wikipedia, etc, and I can customise that list if I wanted.
