Does any one else realize that the last time that the Pirates finished with a winning record was 1992?

And that Barry Bonds was a skinny dude of 28 and listed at being 6 feet, 1 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds.. He had played 7 seasons and had 176 homers. An average of 25 per season. His final playing height and weight, 6 feet, 3 inches and 240 pounds and now with 762 lifetime homers.Aren't steroids wonderful. Imagine being able to add 55 pounds of muscle and 2 inches of height after age 34?.

Yeah. I always like to tell people that a 25 year old lifelong Pirates fan has not a single memory of a winning season. Literally no memory.

    That's weird.

Yeah. That's when free agency started up in baseball. At the time it was not do bad like how it wa with the nfl where you didn't have half the league moving around and constant change. The owners who wanted to spend wildly come the mid 90s (braves, Yankees, red sox, white sox, dodgers, marlins, Indians, orioles) gobbled up free agents like Bonilla, Kevin Brown, Sheffield, Kenny Lofton, marquis Grissom, the alomars, Fred mcgriff, devon white, jimmy key, etc

Yes, I think everyone knows that. I feel for Pittsburg fans. Would love to see Pittsburg go to the post season this year.

Everybody realizes that. It's been highly documented because we have a good chance of ending the streak this year.

Yes... and this is why Andrew McCutchen will win MVP unless he has a major falloff.
