I always address the questions posted at baseball YA honestly and bluntly. I sugar coat nothing. If you want a yes man? Go someplace else
How long will it take MLB hitters to adjust to these defensive shifts that are now being devised and used against the hitters?
Or do the hitters really need to need to? Is it just another fad?
Your opinions please.

CC Sabathia got treated like a batting practice pitcher by those dreaded Houston Astro sluggers.
Opinions?
13 AnswersBaseball7 years agoDid the Braves make a good move by signing Ervin Santana?
Keep in mind that he is supposed to replace Kris Medlen the Braves ace. Or was it a desperation move to placate their fans?
6 AnswersBaseball7 years agoWhat's with thr MLB's winter meeting?
Lots of hot air but no big player moves or trades. Very dull I calls it!
4 AnswersBaseball8 years agoWhat happened to Will Myers?
He was the ROY by default for a while there a couple of months ago. His stats lately have looked pretty ordinary. Do you still consider him a legitimate ROY contender?
5 AnswersBaseball8 years agoDoes anyone really like the present All Star Game format?
I think 34 players is too many. Last night's constant stream of players entering the game by what seemed liked a parade of non-entities and unknowns was extremely distracting. I liked the older method of the actual twenty-five best players being their league's representatives
9 AnswersBaseball8 years agoWhich silly or ignorant FAQ posted here irritates you the most?
Mine is: "Why isn't the all time baseball hit leader in the Baseball Hall of Fame?
Use any method you like in your answer. Humor, sarcasm, facts. Or all three.
9 AnswersBaseball8 years agoHow about that Hanley Ramirez' first start for the Dodgers at short stop?
Before he showed up, in the previous 25 games, all the Dodgers' short stops combined had 1 double and 1 home run and were batting at or below the Mendoza Line.
Along comes Ramirez and equals their XBH production in just one game!
So, they (whoever they are?) say he is a defensive liability and mercurial in temperament and prone to sulking, I'll still take that kind of offense from the shortstop position! GO Hanley!
Add, not a baseball question. What's with all these weird questions this AM about non-baseball subjects.
Broken hearts? Sports work out programs? Alcohol related deaths, Two sillies about Cricket? Cricket? Geez, enough already! Royal Brit's look a likes, What is the best time to go to a game? Huh? How do you order tickets? Should I play sports? C'mon, Give me a break! PLEASE!
2 AnswersBaseball8 years agoWho else thinks that Mike Trout has been in a snit?
He has said publicly that he should be the starting Center fielder and really thinks that Left-field is beneath his talents. Plus a relatively poor 2013 start lends credence to the theory. Are you listening Scoiscia?

Can you name the three pitchers who pitched at least 100 innings in the MLB and also pitched 100 innings in any one of the old Black Leagues
1 AnswerBaseball8 years agoWhy? Why all the wailing and gnashing of teeth concerning the Hall of Fame voting?
Quote follows: "Voting shall be based upon the player's record, playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and contributions to the team(s) on which the player played."
That's it! Those are the instructions on the Hall of Fame ballot. All are very subjective in tone if not in fact.
6 AnswersBaseball8 years agoWill Mike Scoiscia get creative with his batting order lineups in 2013?
Assuming the Angels do not make anymore major position player roster changes, will Mike Scoiscia go with batting orders that maximize all of Mike Trout's awesome 5 tool capabilities? An example follows: Lead-off Mike Trout, # 2, Eric Aybar, # 3, Albert Pujols, # 4 Morales, # 5, Mark Trumbo, # 6, Kendrys, # 7, Iannetta, # 8, Callaspo, # 9 Bourjos.
