The Beast of the AL East is Deceased!?

Yes, I believe baseball is better off while the Yankees "rebuild" over the next couple years. Except their rebuilding process will involve playoffs at some points, so it's not all bad.

But at least other teams can compete. So sick of the Yankees always in the playoffs. I fully believe baseball should have a salary cap. Money does not guarantee championships, but it guaranteed playoffs for the Yankees nearly every year.

The death of the "AL East Beast" is a great example of why the game is played on the field - not on reputation, predictions, speculation and fans hopes.

While they are not mortally wounded, the yet undetermined recovery period for the Yankees will be good for at least the other teams in the division to re-group before the "beast" fully recovers.

Yes baseball is better off. Finally the empire had been demolished and wont be good for awhile.
