Are the Yankees now doomed to mediociry?
CC Sabathia got treated like a batting practice pitcher by those dreaded Houston Astro sluggers.
Opinions?
18 Gibbs 20 . You are jumping the gun here. I didn't say they were doomed. I am asking for opinions on the question. You know, like yes or no and why?.
Hey, Online Administrator. You didn't answer the question. Bringing the Mets into the question is a non sequitur.
Does any one know what the Hell Anonymous is talking about? Or is he drunk? Or what?

No, actually the Yankees are going to compete with TB for the AL East title. When a little kid I saw the White Sox beat the Dodgers in Game One (1959) of the World Series 11-0. It looked like the Chicago White Sox were far superior to the LA Dodgers. The Dodgers beat the White Sox that year in 6 games. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN ONE GAME, even Houston can wear normal looking uniforms in one game. That's baseball. I still say the Yankees and the Rays are the class in the AL, along with Det and Texas.

No they are not. CC was to fit and trim he needed to load up the fat on the ball. The lean pitches went sailing didn't they ? He settle down as is common . The Astros at least understood you rarely get a chance against an ace you better score early. 1998 niot that this team is lmao close to that started 1-4 people were screamming for manager to be fired and plaayers released. BTW I'm an optimist i have the yankees getting #28 for Jete.

No they aren't but if they continue to be run the way they are it will be more of a level playing field.
When George was alive and in control he would stop at nothing to get the best players even if it meant mortgaging the farm though I don't think he ever really had that problem.
George meddled in the teams affairs but he knew what he was doing so the Yankees made great strides.
The people in control now aren't as smart as he was but they think they are.
They'll be competitive but not as much as in the past when he was alive.

I think the Astros are going to surprise some folks. They have some good young players who are eager to prove they belong in the majors. Sabathia must have looked like a Thanksgiving Day feast to them because he is, after all, nothing but a turkey.
The Steinwienies will do well to finish ahead of Toronto this season. I can't wait for their $155,000,000 import to get roughed up.

Yankees may seek the same level of mediocrity as their AL West counterparts, the Astros.

When the Yankees pull the plug on Derek Jeter and replace him with a decent shortstop, they will improve. Otherwise, 80-85 wins sounds right.

Good grief. Two innings and they are doomed to mediocrity? My opinion is that you're jumping the gun a bit here.

The yankee loss today is a microcosm of the yankees season. Mediocre at best. Yankees suck.

No, "Kendra", you're not a 22-year old woman.
Did I miss any of your sad little accounts, Josh?
Moron.
You're the guy who keeps asking the Nick Johnson questions, you're the guy who asks about PEDs or gambling, you're the guy who asks about the best pitch to throw in a 3-2 count, you're a troll who has nothing better to do than ruin what used to be a decent website.
You are all of these people:
