Why is baseball so boring?
11 AnswersBaseball8 years agoDo you think I was being hurtful?
I attend a local community college, as I've said before, and there was this girl in one of my classes whom I had a big crush on. I thought she was gorgeous. Tall, nice legs, long blonde hair right down her back, always dressed nice.
I made an effort to try to know her, though I'm really shy and awkward. Nonetheless, we began talking to each other more frequently and I even got her number. Then our school had a two week break and we didn't text each other or anything. More specifically, I blocked her cell phone number and stopped texting her. I then avoided her altogether at school and we haven't spoken since.
I just decided I didn't like her as much as I initially though. I didn't want to make it dramatic and tell her that, so I tried to make it less painful.
Did I do the wrong thing?
2 AnswersEtiquette8 years agoScared of my parents finding out I smoke weed?
I have been smoking weed for the last year now. I'm not a heavy smoker, maybe once every two months, but that doesn't make it any more legal. Or me any less paranoid. The only times I smoke would be when my parents are out of town for a few days or something. The only people who know I smoke are my two older brothers, but they've long since moved out. My folks are gone to visit a friend in another city and won't be back until tomorrow, they've been gone since Thursday.
So. I went outside on our patio for a smoke this afternoon and another after dinner this evening. I took the clothes I was wearing while I smoked and put them in the washer, and disposed of my joint by putting it out and throwing it over the fence of our yard. This next bit is exactly why I'm going to quit smoking as of now.
I know they're coming home tomorrow, so I'm pretty paranoid. I'm afraid the smell won't come off my clothes. I'm afraid maybe the smell of the smoke got into the house. Then I'm afraid it'll still linger outside the door. I've never been caught yet, but I think they may suspect it.
My parents don't know two of their three kids smoke weed, but they're strictly anti-drug. All three of us have a good relationship with them, so I know they'd flip if they found out.
Am I being too paranoid?

3 AnswersFriends8 years agoDo you think I am mentally ill?
I know everything I am about to list makes no sense and is not healthy, but I honestly CANNOT help myself. I'm not being dramatic, I honestly cannot stop myself from doing these things - if I could help it, I most certainly would stop. Here are some ways my obsession about germs causes me to behave:
If I have to use the bus to get somewhere or go to the public library to use a computer, I ALWAYS wear a pair of gloves so not to touch anything directly.
I refuse to eat anything if I have to touch it with my hands. If I cannot use a fork and knife (or spoon) I will not eat. At work I don't eat anything on my break because of this, so I usually go about 8 hours after breakfast without anything to eat.
If anyone uses a pen or pencil of mine, or if I even drop it on the floor, it must immediately go in the garbage afterwards.
Washing my hands until they are rubbed raw from soap and hot water.
I open doors in public by covering my hand up with part of my shirt or use a glove.

3 AnswersMental Health8 years agoAm I addicted to caffeine?
I drink a lot of coffee, usually three or four cups a day. Usually my routine is something like:
1 cup of decaf for my drive to work.
1 cup of regular coffee with lunch.
1 cup of regular coffee driving home from work.
1 cup of decaf after dinner in the evening.
I read even decaf still has something like 3% caffeine content some of the time. The caffeine does not agree with my bowels (sorry for the details you didn't want) and so I know I should cut back on it to perhaps one or two cups per day. The thing is, I can't.
I thoroughly enjoy a cup of coffee (or four) every single day. I know it would be so hard to cut back on it because it is the best part of my day. I've heard people who are addicted to caffeine experience things like headaches, irritability, etc. when they don't get their 'fix.' I've never experience that.

5 AnswersNon-Alcoholic Drinks8 years agoPoll: Does she think I'm cute?
I attend a community college in my area. I am taking an introductory course in geography, it's one of the requirements, and the class is massive. It's in a huge lecture hall with about 200 students in the class.
So I went to class on the first night and noticed a pretty attractive girl sitting next to me. The instructor wasn't due to arrive for about 20 more minutes, so I decided to try and make some small-talk with this girl. She was really friendly and engaging, so we talked to each other until the instructor showed up.
The instructor introduced the course objectives and said that given the large number of students in the class, it may be best to find a 'note buddy' to get in touch with in the event we ever missed a class. To quote her exactly, she said, 'Turn to that cute guy or girl next to you and find a note buddy.'
Most of the class laughed, including the girl I was sitting next to. She then asked if I'd be her 'note buddy.' She told me to look her up on Facebook, but then gave me her phone number instead.

I obviously was getting ahead of myself by thinking she was interested, though. Whenever I see her around campus outside of class, she ignores me. We text each other sometimes and sit next to each other in class, but that's it.
Any idea why she does this?
