Lots of hot air but no big player moves or trades. Very dull I calls it!

Update:

Update 2:

Well hello anonymous! Thank you so much for your concern about a baseball snob and just when I was beginning to worry that no one cared.

Last week was the GM Meetings, and nothing happened except the announcement about the instant replay for 2014. The winter meetings are I believe the 2nd week of December.

With the free agent market not that good this year, I would think what quality FA's there are will be signed after the holidays, and then there will be a flurry of trades up until, and into, spring training.

There are allot more potential trades being discussed than FA signings, and some of the prices are out of sight, and will be until they can get a muzzle on Boras.

There was probably a lot of chatter going around during the GM meetings, and there will be many big moves as the off-season progresses. Once the few Free Agents begin to narrow their choice down to two or three, we will begin to see teams jump at the opportunity to make moves to improve their team. We could probably see big names such as Matt Kemp, Max Scherzer, David Price, and maybe Giancarlo Stanton on the market. Keep your eyes open

That was the owners/GMs meeting. That's more about high-level operations, not player dealings. The standard winter meetings are coming up a week or two after Thanksgiving. Patience.

I think trading activity will pick up when everyone gets a feel for where the FA's are headed, probably in min-late January.
