Thirteen
Story of a girl who gets involved with the wrong crowd and starts taking drugs and drinking. She turns to self harm to help her cope with her family and emotional problems.
Secretary
The main character has juat come out of a mental hospital but she continues to self harm with razors and hot objects. She stops when her boss tells her to stop then she becomes involves with him and gets into S&M.
Life as a House
The main character is on drugs and suffering from depression and his mum can't handle him anymore. He goes to stay for the summer with his dad and they work together on building a house. The dad helps his son by stopping him from taking drugs.
The Craft
Althought this hasn't got that much to do with self harm the main character has tried to commit suicide and is somewhat depressed. She talk about hillucinations and hearing voices. This film is about a group of four girls who become involved in witchcraft.

28 Days
The main character s put into a drug rehab centre and her room mate self harms. She tries to help her room mate but in the end she finds her dead on the bathroom floor after a heroin overdose.
Girl Interrupted
The main character in put in a mental institision after arrempting to commit suicide. During her stay in the institusion she becomes friends with women who self harm. One of these women kill therselves.
Prozac Nation
The film version of Elizabeth Wurtzel's Autobiography. This is a really good film about a teenager who goes to Harvard and is trying to cope with mental health problems. The main character reminds me so much of myself.
