Mac Snow Leopard upgrade software?
I currently have a 10.5.8. macbook and would like to upgrade the software, but the only snow leopard available is on amazon for $120. I'm wondering whether it'll work for my mac (it's a core 2 duo). Any ideas?

Yes, this Mac will work with OS X 10.6. Be aware, though, that $120 is nothing but outrageous speculative overpricing – the retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) install DVD cost under $30, just a few days ago before Apple released Mountain Lion and, hatefully, removed Snow Leopard as well as Lion from their own online store (even though Snow Leopard is required to even purchase Mountain Lion). Before bending to this overpricing, you should check out ebay and also all brick-and-mortar stores in your town that sell Macs.

haha $120?
snow leopard is $29.99
and although snow leopard is a great os.. remember you are in 2012 and just weeks ago apple released its new os called mountain lion ($19.99). but if you still use powerpc apps then get snow leopard
if your computer has 4 gb ram you should get that.
P.S.
i was on snow leopard before i sold my mac. it was a 13 inch 2.26ghz 4 gb ram model. yep so it will work
