Good variety in betta fish diet?
I right now only have pellets for my little betta, but I was wondering if there's any other foods he would eat. He's new, and still young, but wouldn't he get bored eating pellets every single day?
He's a dumbo ear betta if it helps.

You need to feed more than one type of fish food for a more completed good diet.
A high quality staple food - I would recommend new life spectrum pellets.
A treat - Bloodworm.
You may get more types of food for rotating on different days of each week if you want, but do not feed more than you should. Just once a day, and no more than fish can eat.

Don't get flakes. They are too big for their small mouths. And they are herd to chew because of their side. Keep feeding the pellets.
The pellets and bloodworms is enough variety. Just get either bloodworms or brine shrimp or both. Just feed him the treat (what I mentioned are treats) a few times a week and just a few pieces each time you feed him the treat.

Any of those meals could be O.ok., however the final 2 could require some processing to alter into Betta-friendly. throughout the summer months the appropriate and maximum organic nutrition for Bettas are mosquito larvae. that is a threat to subculture those in small buckets packed with rain water or old aquarium water and internet them out for feeding or freezing for iciness..

You can feed him frozen bloodworms, daphnia, brine shrimp. Flake and Pellet foods. Dried blooworms, and brine shrimp.. But they LOVE blood worms, but dont make frozen/dried foods a every day thing, make it more of a treat.
