Teen romances that won't make you lose your lunch.?

During the summer I'm not as avid a reader as I am during the year, but with my father being an English teacher I've always had books closer by, so I like to have a least something for when I want it. I recently finished the Scorpio Races, (I highly recommend,) and now I've been in the mood for a little romance. I've been trying to do research but I haven't found anything that's popped out at me. I've read the Twilight Saga, and this isn't exactly a romance but some people call the Hungers Games one, but I've read all of them. I also read all the Shiver books as well. I'm not for the usual sappy stuff, looking for something to sappy, I like a character with a little attitude, anything besides a character like Bella who's constantly getting saved, and the guy's never really sure if the girl loves, even though its completely obvious. A story with a little punch, but definitely still gives you the little wriggle of happiness and excitement.

I know its a very personal thing to ask for, but it would be really appreciated, because I'm going on a trip soon.

THANKS!!!!

P.S. Nothing too adult. Steamy is fine, but not really dirty. I mean I'm fourteen.

Or depressing, I've already got a holocaust. I want something a little less heavy, but not the usual teen heart candy.

--- These are all books that I LOVED and had a really hard time putting down---

    *Just Listen- Sarah Dessen

    *Nevermore- Kelly Creagh
