Feeling guilty....accidentally stepped on / killed a baby bird, what should i do?

not so much a question but, a confession.

I just got done watering my law; and the dog was chasing baby birds; and he chased one onto the porch (didn't notice this) so to cut a long story short; when i was going to go into the house, i didn't see the bird, and only until i heard a loud crunch from under my feet; i realized what happened. I feel bad about it, i cleaned off the area; the bird was dead, said a prayer, put him in the can.

So, this is just more of a vent than anything.....thank you for reading; any advice etc would be helpful.

Do not feel so unhealthy. It is a very emotional event but you can will have to not seem at it as when you ruined its existence. If it fell from the nest it was by and large injured. Sure, you did drop it but, he would have been lifeless that night time. A predator would have eaten it, the weather could have killed it, and tons of different things. Don't beat yourself up. From this you could have discovered the value of life, and how you can maintain death. You expanded this birds lifestyles, longer then it could have executed on its own. It used to be an accident. And accidents occur. Its not such as you intended to hurt him in any respect. Your intentions were excellent, but destiny stated that it wasn't meant to be. You in no way be aware of. Possibly the mother pushed it out for the reason that it had a disorder, and also you would have gotten this sickness, if it wasn't for the accident. It might have possibly even killed you. Look at things in a more confident manner, and hold your chin up. - Ark

You didn't do it on purpose. It was an accident.

The bird would have died instantly.

It is natural to feel bad about it, but accidents do happen.

Dont Feel bad because it was a accident but if you did it on purpose it would be different and you should feel bad but theres nothing to feel guilty about though.

So sorry. Accidents happen. At least you feel guilty. Many people wouldn't give it a second thought.

It's not really a big deal I mean so maybe you reduced the pigeon or quail population by one and it is kinda sad but not a big deal. You won't go to hell or anything. It was an accident
