Cheapest apartments in Chicago West suburbs?
I'm currently in between jobs and have about 6 months (september to march) until I start up again. In the mean time I want to move to the West suburbs of Chicago and get a part time job. The reason being I have really good friends out there and want to be close to them for a little while (no they don't have room, i've already asked ha). So the central area is Wheaton. Where would be the cheapest area within, say, a 20ish minute drive to Wheaton? And by cheapest, I'm looking for something like, under $500 a month...but still livable. 23 and just out of college, not much saved up. I will be living by myself, and not opposed to a studio apartment at all. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Problem: Landlords do not rent to people unless they have jobs.
Otherwise you will have to pay 6 months to 1 years rent upfront.
Most landlords want to see at least 6 months of employment to rent to you.

It can be called the Windy metropolis for a cause! However it is a special metropolis, I find it irresistible! It has all four seasons and the winters can get cold and snowy. My favourite suburbs are Naperville and Oakbrook but they're within the a ways West. I've traveled to a variety of big cities on the planet and Chicago is by a ways my favourite! It beats, ny, los angeles, Miami, Paris, London, Rome, Athens by way of miles!!!!!
