I don't think so. I like it a lot more than acrylic or oils. The reason so many people are intimidated by watercolor is that it is somewhat unpredictable. But if you listen to your instructor, and do some practicing on your own, you shouldn't have a hard time with it.

It's a bit difficult if you compare with oil or acrylic painting because it is difficult to correct - when you make mistakes.
