What is your opinion on Royal Purple?

I also have a supercharger(vortech), will it affect it, or not, maybe since the gears are metal, it will help it?

AMSoil is a much better oil for superchargers and turbos than Royal Purple. Why? Because it has a much higher temperature tolerance. Your engine runs extremely hot with a turbo or supercharger, when you park your car, the hot metal "cooks" your oil. AMSoil has one of the highest heat tolerances in the industry and much better than royal purple. The heat tolerance keeps the oil "good" for longer.

Royal Purple also performs poorly in cold weather tests vs AMSoil. AMSoil is by far a superior motor oil and they have much more scientific testing that back that claim up. They have a huge research team that recommends the best type of oil, filter, etc for your vehicle. Just remember, AMSoil has the 25k/oil change guarantee, 15k in extreme conditions, on almost all cars and trucks. Royal Purple has a hefty disclaimer that recommends you change the oil at "manufacturers recommended intervals".

Royal purple seeks heat and the engine runs just a bit cooler, as a result of its additives. So, i exploit Royal purple throughout the summer season and Castrol Syntec in the wintry weather. The price of Royal crimson has steadily come down, so it makes monetary feel to use it. When Mobil 1 was very luxurious (in the 90's) relative to conventional motor oil, many people didn't change to Mobil 1. Mobil 1 has modified their marketing to make Mobil 1 more low cost. Amsol (personally) has neglected the mass market by way of retaining their product off the shelves of auto phase outlets. It can be too late, as the factitious oil market has reached 50% of the motor oil market. See for your self. Go to your local Auto section retailer and you can see that half the shelves are synthetic now.
