John Lennon vs Paul McCartney?

John Lennon, but I like both.

BQ: He was extremely important to their image, though that's the only thing he was really needed for. No offense to Ringo.

Both are creative and great musicians, but personally I think Paul was the musical genius of the band, whereas John was the lyricist and creative genius. So I would say Paul.

BQ: Of course! When everybody else in the band was fighting and getting angry with one another, Ringo was everyone's friend. Besides, when he temporarily left the band, everyone worked together to bring him back and decorated the studio with flowers for him. In those later years, he was the one person that the other three were able to trust to an extent.

PAUL MCCARTNEY IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE UNIVERSE. But I like John Lennon too. He's my second favorite Beatle.

Both are amazing but I gota go with Paul as he has produced pretty much every one of my songs and I know Lennon is dead, but Paul is still doing it to this day and we will never know for sure, but I don't think lennons style would work today

Not a fan of either, but at least Mccartney had a degree of instrumental and compositional talent that Lennon lacked.

Bq: any below average drummer could have done what he did.

Lyrically, I would give my edge to Lennon because his lyrics often stood out as being the most quirky and edgy. Just listen to Strawberry Fields Forever and A Hard Day's Night then you will understand what I am saying.

Musically, I would give my edge to Paul McCartney because his tunes often stood out as being the most catchy and uplifting. Just listen to Ob La Di Ob La Da and Penny Lane ten you will understand what I am saying.
