Work Study in college?
I start college in the fall and I have work study. I was wondering do you get your full reward for the semester at the beginning or do you get in different installments like a regular job.

It's your responsibility to find a job on campus. You'll get paid by the hour, and your paycheck each week will come out of your work-study award. If you get to the end of the school year and haven't worked enough hours to earn the whole award, you forfeit the rest. If, however, you work so many hours that you earn the entire award before the end of the school year, you have to stop working immediately. Then you have to wait for the next school year- and your next work-study award- to start.

Work study is like an actual job. You have to apply to the work study jobs your school has (you can probably find them on your website). Once you can actually get a job you'll start working, then get paid through paychecks. The thing is you have to actually get the job. Just because you were awarded w/ work study does not mean you HAVE to get it.
