How do you think Russia feels?

As Russian, I can say people don't care much about the place. They care more about an overall unsuccessful result. But I hope the situation will change, because we always earn more medals in the second part of the Games. At least in Beijing 2008 we had the same result at the beginning!

The old Soviet Union included Russia and all of the other countries that left(like Kazachstan) If you total all of these countries up, together they have an impressive total. I magine it really gauls them. When the Soviet Union was dismantled, they wanted to continue to have all the medals of all the countries put into one lump like before. However the new countries (like Kaz) would have none of it

Russia is what, fourth in the overall medals count, which is an outstanding achievement. But for a traditional olympic powerhouse it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. I think they'll come back stronger in the gold category in 2016.

im worried about them they are usually so high on the medal table what's going on

it's sad as they have 2 medal less than GB and have enough to be third with overall medals but their golds being at 4 puts them in ninth they wont be able to catch up in golds

i dont think they care..same way canadians dont care that US has over 50 medals..games are not about that..

Gutted. But it's all about the gold.
