Should I get a desktop or laptop?
I currently have a laptop, and while it isn't unusable, it's a little outdated. My main reason for thinking about getting a laptop is portability (of course). I'm a senior in high school, so I'll be needing a laptop for college within the next year anyway.
I do game, though only casually, so I thought a desktop might be better for me personally. I also am I writer and I feel better typing on a separate keyboard. I fear though if I get a desktop I will have to end u buying a laptop anyway.

desktops are more durable compared to laptops............. i would keep the laptop for now since your going to school. when it comes to gaming stick with a desktop. Yes , laptops are portable but vulnarable to breaking down after a while. If your laptop is outdated, its not going to support the games, they need more cpu usuage and memory ...my advice is to get the desktop for gaming. and laptop for school.

I think You should think about getting a laptop. Its obviously more portable compared to a desktop. You can take it almost anywhere school,library,friends place, work .etc. unlike a desktop (which basically sits around at home). I have a desktop and a lap, but my laps so much more convenient that i use my desktop as a hard drive. Plus most laptops have better processing speeds, hard drive space (for eg.1 terabyte) and high RAM capacity than alot of desktops. So get your self a lap, its a better investment.

Give up your games and buy a nice laptop. You'll be able to bring it to classes with you and type notes, and work on papers last-minute at school (if you're a procrastinator like me lol). As for the writing, you can probably find some kind of ergonomic laptop that will make it more comfortable.

Simple. Get a very good laptop :) If you buy a high end laptop you should be able to play games and do what you need to for collage.

How about a laptop with a docking station? You could still use a separate keyboard and full size monitor. Best of both worlds. Hope this helps...
