Thoughts on Austin Rivers?
I can't decide if he's really good, just hype because of Doc Rivers, or is a complete fluke. I saw the game winner against North Carolina which was stunning, but then in summer league I was slightly disappointed.... Will he improve or is he just another Kwame Brown?

I never really thought he was that good. His senior year was the year that i first really started following high school basketball, and i was thinking how he was ranked number one. of course, anthony davis surpassed him but for a while it was austin.
I didn't even realize he was doc's son for a while and i think that was the reason he was getting so much attention. dont get me wrong, he is a good player, but he seems like he needs the ball in his hands and shoots way too much and has a low FG%, like most high school stars. Going into duke i didn't think he was gonna be that good, but he was a little better than i thought. Going into the league, i think he will be one of those energizing players who hops from team to team, kind of like a nate robinson. idk i just never see him being a star and kind of being a bust, although he didn't get selected that high but i dont think he will live up to any of the hype surrounding him.

He's in a tough place because he's too short to play 2 and it would be a waste of talent to put a player with his scorers mentality at point guard. He's been called a very hard worker by everyone he's been around so I would look to see him have a productive career. I can see him having a career similar to Jason Terry. A guy you can put in the game and expect an offensive spark.

He won't be kwame brown but I don't think he will be great
Don't worry I was disappointed with Dion Waiters performance in Summer League

I never really watched him while he was in college, but based off his summer league performance, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a second coming of Jimmer Fredette. Lots of hype, but fails to live up to expectations in the NBA.

He might have a decent rookie season, but I don't think he will be an all-star or anything close to one. He hasn't convinced me yet that can be a great player. But I will say this, he will be far better than Kwame.

He'll definitely be more successful than Kwame Brown. I think his style of play is similar to OJ Mayo, but I couldn't say how successful he'll turn out.

He's just popular because of his dad. His not even a very good player but his not bad to. Just a decent kind of player. I see him having a career similar to Delonte West.
