Should I talk to him??? Help!!!?

Question

Ok so I met this guy on a mission trip and we were together ALL THE TIME. We were like best friends on the trip and on the way back and we got really close, but I haven't talked to him since then. It's been two weeks as I thought if he wanted to talk to me he would have by now. 
I miss him so much and I think about him all the time (not like romantically but he was just really fun and easy to talk to and be around).
One of my friends that also knows him said I was being dumb and I should just talk to him since I miss him so much, but I don't wanna seem clingy or whatever. I mean he may not want to see me and I don't wanna be needy. 
Wouldn't he have contacted me by now if he wanted to talk to me? 
Is he waiting for me to talk to him?
Should I? 
I'm so nervous and I don't wanna mess this up (because I do...a lot) but I also don't want us to become strangers/: Help please!!!!

I would talk to him, sometimes its good to make the first move maybe he's shy too or thinks your out of his league fear of rejection. maybe that's not the case but you never know
Some guys think its cute when girls are persistant and if you do talk to him and you feel that his feelings aren't mutual that's OK

as a male, and a good friend, if you dont communicate you may lose complete touch. it doesnt matter how you feel, as long as you dont want any kind of relationship to drop. just speak how you normally would youll be fine.
