Melanoma - multiple brain mets- prognosis?

Hi, a dear friend sadly has had a re occurrence of a melonama. She has multiple mets to her brain and is currently having whole brain radiotherapy. We knew about the lung and spine mets but her previous therapy had reduced their size and she seemed to be going along ok until she had a fit and collapsed while out shopping. That's when they found it in her brain. My question is, and I know there are no crystal balls, but is she likely to make it to Christmas? My understanding from what I've read is that at this stage it is terminal. She is pretty much in denial about her condition, which I think is her way of coping.
