Is any Aussie such a poor loser?
that they cannot give the Kiwis a big congratulations for their gold medal tally? Regardless of what was written by some journalist, I say "well done Kiwis".

The media has been the weak link in this whole Olympics. They keep bleating on about disappointment, pre-games dramas, whinging, etc. I don't think they are in step with the rest of us (except the couple of members here who appear to have ODD). I've given up on the Channel 9 and News Limited coverage and get updates from ABC radio news.
I think it's fantastic that the Kiwis are having a good Games. All power to them.

You've lost me here. Why the query on Australia being a poor loser? Why congratulate the Kiwis on their medal tally?
If you want to congratulate a country for punching above their weight - what about Kazakhstan ................ with six gold medals.
I must have missed what was written by "some journalist". I'm afraid I don't belong to the PC brigade & want to be seen to handing out laurels to our competitors - until the games are over I will only be barracking for the Aussies & the Kiwis can all go fly a kite, as far as I am concerned.

Of course we congratulate New Zealand with their three gold and six other medals. Australia only has four gold and 21 other medals.

I wasn't aware of that,I thought we had all sang their praises(joking aside) I don't think some of the media have done their best but on the whole every other Aussie has been generous in their praise.

The term 'Journalist' should have been a misnomer, or pejorative for quite some time, by now.
Good on the K1's.

Australians are probably the most unsportsmanlike athletes on the planet. I think that it's the Australian culture's sense of entitlement.
