Hahah good question. I smiled literally when I read your question :)
People have so many emotions and each have their own unique signs, movements and we make faces according to what we are feeling inside. So, I think it's the way of nature. Just human thing =)

Idk its just...common sense I guess. I mean people also smile when their sad (they force it tho..) its just...human.
