3rd day of quitting smoking, my anxiety is going mad?

I used to have really bad anxiety, I used to get lots of panic attacks but they stopped for a while. I decided to quit smoking a few days ago now i'm on my 3rd day and i'm not giving in, but my anxiety has gotten worse. I was sitting down looking at my computer screen and i suddenly got the slightest bit dizzy for a few minutes or so, then my left arm started slightly hurting, like an aching pain, but not shooting, and suddenly I started getting really really scared. It's been a while since i've been this anxious. I wanna know that it's the nicotine withdrawal that's making me feel like this. I really don't know whether i should go the docs or not. I'm only 17 also.

Update:

I quit cold turkey.

It's the nicotine and other chemicals leaving your system.

When my friend quit, it took about 3 weeks before their anxiety went down and they stopped

    getting odd aches and pains.

Drink lots of water to help flush your system.

First of all congratulations no quitting and living a healthier life. But that is expected to happen when people quit smoking. You are having physical withdrawals which can translate into anxiety. Did you quit cold turkey or did you actually use a patch or pill or some other way. Because that makes it easier and lessens the withdrawals. If you quit cold turkey it will be harder, the physical withdrawal will be stronger because nicotine is a strong drug and with the patch/pill small doses of nicotine are in your system which helps you to ween off of it. You can go to your pharmacist and ask for assistance or go to your doctor. Which every you chose I wish you the best of luck, stay strong!! You are making a great decision to quit.

I don't really know how you feel cause I only smoke occaisonally. But i do know that you're bound to feel like this. It's just your body getting used to not having the nicotine, after a week or so it should all calm down. i think it is mainly the nicotine withdrawl, but if you're still worried then see a doctor. Sorry this isn't a very good answer, I'm new at this
