Am i allowed to see video from job?

Am I allowed to see a proof video of me at work doing something I'm not supposed to be doing? My boss fired me for supposably horse playing at work when I wasn't. He said he had a video showing proof that I was horseplaying and I wasn't. Me and a co worker had an accident. Last time I checked we had no cameras atleast not working. I know they weren't working because people always mess around at work and work unsafe and never get caught. Mature answers only!

    Speak with an employment attorney. If the employer cannot and will not provide evidence of a policy violation then you should treat it as the position being dissolved. The reason for this is that while you search for another job, most times you will be asked why you left, and you should provide a reason. You don't have to but it looks better if you do.

    When the employer you are interviewing with contacts your former employer asking to verify the reason, then you may have a chance at a law suit simply because your former employer is causing you financial harm. Considering you did nothing wrong, and the former employer cannot prove it.

    It's in their best interest to show you the video if they have it.

    A lot of states are "right to work" states , which means that any employer can terminate you for ANY reason without having to provide you with an explanation. A lot of times when you get onboarded into a new job it will be specified in the employee handbook or initial hiring documents. So pretty much employers are not obligated to provide the video to you as it is considered company property and usually unless there's any legal reasons for a request of the footage and there is a court case you are out of luck with getting it.

    No. You have no right to the footage.

    Doesn't matter if he has video or not. In the US, you can get fired for anything (or nothing) at any time.
