The Infernal Devices (cassandra claire) series is a story with alot of mythical creatures involved, with a little romance.
Vampire Academy Series (Richelle Mead): the title pretty much sums it up. I hasnt got any sprakly vampires, its a more sophisticated and modern outlook on vampires.
Vampire Queen series (Rebecca Maizel): The second book has only just come out, but I loved the first book (Infinite Days) it's about vampires, again, but has a little more history intwertwined.
Harry Potter series (JK Rowling) im hoping you know what its about.
Bloodlines (Richelle Mead) (not sure what the series is called, I only have the first book): Its a story about alchemists who work alongside the vampires and character's in Richelle's Vampire Academy series.
Percy Jackson (sorry cant reme, ber the author): Story about a demi-god boy, alot of greek goods and such are in this series.
Morganville Vampires (cant remember author either): Yes!! I know, I read alot about vampires. These vampires arent so lovely dovey, have so far only read the first book. A more realistic kind of vampire story, although there are ghosts involved. Mostly human characters.
The Pain Merchants (Janice Hardy): I love this book, but havent gotten round to reading the others. Its seet back in the old days, so there are a few old-english type words. This book series is more about withcraft and witchery.
Cherub Series, Henderson Boys series, People's Republic (not sure if it will be made into series, so I dont know the series' name) (All by Robert Muchamore): Hands down, one of the best books I have EVER read. These series are more realistic, not mythic beings or anything. Underage spies ranging from ages 10-17 are trained at the CHERUB facility. Spies, guns, amazing characters and cool moves! Who could ask for more?
Whew! Sorry for the long list!!! Yes, it seems I read alot. Hope I at least listed ONE book series you will read. Hope I helped in someway.

Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth. Her third book of the trilogy isn't out yet, but is expected next year around fall I believe...
However, I loved the books. I have also read the hunger games, and these books are also dystopian.
I feel like you will really enjoy these ones.
Also, if you are into steampunk styled books.. the Leviathan series might interest you. I can't recall the author, but just google "Leviathan series" and it should pop up.
