like can you get a license to relax, color and trim hair?(if you know all about it) or must you be a full cosmetologist for that? i've heard of ppl getting/needing certificates for working @ the shampoo bowl, but are there other certificates besides that? is there any way i can get one?

No, You need to be a licensed Cosmetologist to do that, Then their are special certifications you can get...In some states, Not all, There are licensed braiders.
