My Nintendo Ds Lite won't let me use the wi-fi connection?

I've been playing pokemon for a while, and I want to connect to the wi-fi. I put in the SSID and stuff, but when I put in the WEP Key, it says These settings are invalid. Confirm the information and try again. For help, visit support.nintendo.com. I went to the website and they didn't help. What should I do???? I tested the connection and got a error code, 51100. PLEASE HELP!

Update:

Oh now I get it. I got a WPA key instead of a WEP key. I understand now. I'll choose a random person to be the best answer.

    I dont think the Ds lite can get wifi. I think you have to connect it to the internet using a wire and actually connect it to the source of the internet or something idk. I could never figure it out.
