I believe that the campaign did not create the ad or contribute to its content. From what I understand this soptic guy tried to sell the idea to the obama campaign but they rejected it. Then he went to an independent group and they wanted to air it.

Stephanie Cutter already lied when she said that she had no knowledge of the story of Soptic's wife. She had him on a conference call where he recounted the story.

If they had any involvement they would be fined for coordinating with a Super PAC. Since that hasn't happened it's a good bet that they didn't have anything to do with it.
