doubt it if it costs only 480$. if it is that cheap then it will not have a dedicated graphics card ( the most important thing when playing games )

You're not going to be able to play COD or Left 4 Dead on any computer that costs less than $1000 nowadays.
So basically no.
If you want to play those games, why not try getting an Xbox 360? Only 300 bucks, and would most definetly be able to play those games.

probably if its got 4ram but i have not herd of the graphics but you can always buy a new graphics card anyway. for reccomendations try endwar its $3 at 5 below and it doesnt require much

the titles you mentioned are very graphic intensive games
in this price range it's difficult to recommend a laptop that doesn't lag ...
