There can be several devises which can be applied to a single condition. You just need to narrow down your choices and think of the best possible way to accomplish the task in a minimum amount of time. It would be futile to try it time and again with no proper planning. You can have several generic answers, like this one. But something that will really help you is a solid and specific solution.

You will desire the whole kit. I consider what he has is entirely great bulbs. Because HID utilizes xenon gases, it needs a ballast to excite the particles. Once the particles are excited, then it lighting fixtures up. Since your friend does not have a ballast, then that shows his HID bulb might not turn on since there is now not some thing to excite the xenon gasoline particles. So because that his does turn it, the bulb does not comprise xenon, therefore not HID. It's just a great white bulb, or a tint of blue on the glass.
