question about wheel nuts (ford)?
so basically i have just fitted some new alloys (using alloy wheel nuts) but previously had steel wheel nuts on.. my question is.. is the "head" or "tip" (im not sure of the name) of the wheel nut the same?? aka.. will my wrench in the boot fit my new nuts.. say if i was to get a puncture i would be stuck otherwise
well yeah my cars not with me atm. it was just a passing thought i was wondering. i could always check in a day or two

very simple get wrench out and check it .thats simple answer.

the nuts should be the same size and unless you have some special rims that require a special slim socket you should be fine take out your lug wrench and make sure it fits how easy is that? do it in the driveway before you have a flat and make sure.

these are correctly called wheel locking nuts unless in america where they refer to them as 'lug nuts'.
unless they have a sliding chrome cover over them ? they ought to be a standard size eg same as before. easy enough to check though with your wheel nut tool in boot. a multi size spanner ( 4 way) can be bought at most motor factors fairly cheaply and ought to fit any nits commonly used on current and older vehicles.

No way we can tell over the internet, other than to say that they SHOULD be the same size head on the new wheel bolts as the old ones.

What you call wheel nuts are called Lug nuts.
You have a lug wrench in your boot? Isn't that hard to walk that way?
