Air conditoning on a 2003 Ford Windstar?

The air conditioning is blowing cold air, however when driving on the interstate or accerating rapidly, the blower will start on blower as set. Then it will automatically switch to the floor and then to the windshield. It happens mainly on the interstate.

Ford used little neoprene o-rings in the heater control units to seal the solenoids that switch the blend door positions. These get cooked and start letting air slip past in certain pressure conditions, allowing the spring-loaded doors to return to default (defrost) position. On Marauders and MGMs the EATC can be easily reworked with about $1 worth of #007 orings, but it looks like the Windstar control module is not a servicable design, you'll need to replace it. Prices on ebay don't seem to bad, try to buy one from a northern climate. I see one on ebay with rear a/c controls for $10 right now in Indiana.
