1)Speed of light is 299 792 458 m/s or approximatly 3 x 10^8 m/s
the wavelength of light times its frequency will equal the speed of light
fλ = c
f = c/λ
as a nanometer is 1 x 10^-9 meters
f = 3 x 10^8 / 436 x 10^-9
f = 687 x 10^12 Hz
2)
fλ = c
λ = c/f
λ = 3 x 10^8 / 5.2 x10^14
λ = 577 nm

1) frequency = speed of light / wavelenth
= 300. x 10^6meter/sec / 436 x 10^-9 meters
2) wavelength = speed of light / frequency
= 300 x 10^6 / 5.2 x10^14
