Myrtle Beach is probable one of the worst surfing beaches in the Carolinas and VA Beach gets mixed reviews. You have to remember that the summer, when most east coasters do their surfing, is by far the worst time of year for waves on the Atlantic Coast of the US.
The biggest waves that I have seen in late summer/early fall were at Montauk Point, Long island (NY) many years ago. Everyone knows that the generally best waves on the east coast are believed to be along the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I haven't surfed there for a while, but they were big and well formed on my last visit. I surfed in amazing overhead waves one December in Manasquan Inlet, New Jersey. Of course, I have surfed in huge, but usually pretty messy surf all along the east coast from Florida to New Jersey as Tropical Storms and Hurricanes approach. Anywhere along the coast when a "near miss" is working its way up the coast can mean incredible surf.
The east coast is always fickle. There is very little consistency. Even the best spots can go flat for days, and even the worst spots can have a chest high glassy day. My personal favorites are in southern New Jersey in early Fall and southern South Carolina in late Fall. But, once again, they are very inconsistent. I have not been back to Montauk for years, but I hear it is still pretty good on a good day. And, the Outer Banks always attract attention. North Florida has some great breaks too, and I had some real fun there last Spring on a couple big days. But, the rest of the week was knee high.

appears like a pickle. Greyhound might want to probable be most inexpensive, yet you would possibly want to be constrained on how a lot time you had, the position. practice might want to furnish you with a similar problem. the proper aspect might want to be motor vehicle, yet that prices plenty. if you're getting in the course of the country, you would possibly want to opt for to analyze what you would possibly want to pay to employ a motor vehicle with all those miles, to paying for an previous, beat-up, yet sturdy motor vehicle. i'd be prepared to guess that you will be able to detect a older diesel or something that would want to serve you. sturdy luck and luxuriate in.
