If the world ends 12/21/12 should Christians be ashamed?

Matthew 24:36 says no man knows the day or hour of the end yet if Mayans predicted it would that just show that there is no biblical God?

It doe,s not say the world will end. It is the the end of that calender. how simple do things have to be be to comprehend???????

The Mayans only predicted a Calander that ends in 2012 but after this year it starts over at day one. It is true no one will know the day and hour and everyone was so sure that the world would come to an end around 50 years ago and it never happened. So noone can predict it as it was jmplied on the bible.

I would say that since the Mayan Calendar did not know about leap years that there date would be a little different than our 12/21/12. It would have happened a couple of years ago according to the Mayan Calender, so the fact that we are already past the date that the Mayans predicted then I would say we are not ashamed since it did not happen!

No, we won't be ashamed. We've been forgiven, and the Lord has done a transformation in our lives and continues to do so. But the end will not come on that date! The rapture, will come before that second coming, if you can believe it. Matthew 24:36-44 is about the rapture. The gospel of the Kingdom will go out into all the earth before the end comes.

The worrying thing is, is that we are constantly told via the media that something terrible may happen upon and beyond the 26,000 year Mayon calendar which ends Dec 2012.

When in fact they actually prophesised the arrival of strangers/an enlightened being to fulfil a new teaching about ecology, climate, human beings identifying with materialism, lost wisdom, consciousness, that our senses and minds construct this Beautiful pervading paradigm of dreams and many pretty faces, which is actually a reality (not real, so what’s with all the wars!) in these faithless deluded times.

Objectivism > that one can attain objective knowledge from perception through the process of concept formation and inductive logic, that the proper moral purpose of one's life is the pursuit of one's own happiness or rational self-interest???

Subjectivism > the doctrine that all knowledge is limited to experiences by the self, and that transcendent knowledge is impossible (Shuts the door on God)???

Formatory thinking > a term for the mechanical aspect of the lower intellectual center.

Pigeon holing, and thereafter returning mechanically to them as statements of truth.

Black and white statements or strictly agreeing or disagreeing.

    No.

Btw, the Mayans have not predicted the world will end in 2012, they just decided to stop making more days on the calendar since, since they had about 3000 years worth covered already. Gotta stop somewhere.

Here's the thing about that Mayan calendar: it doens't include leap years. The Mayan equivalent of December 12, 2012 passed us in May of 2012.

    So sorry.

Not unless the Mayans were God in disguise.

it won't though it may become worse to live in. Jesus has to come for believers first, then at least a few years of tribulation, then Armageddon, then the Earth will be destroyed, and a new one created in its place. so minimum 2016...

If the bones of Jesus Christ were unearthed, we would be shamed. If there was no God, we would be shamed. If the world was actually created by the gods of other religions, we would be shamed.

    Doesn't mean it'll happen though.
