  • If you spill juice into an open wound, would that raise your blood sugar?

I'm just wondering what would happen; it occurred to me as I was drinking juice with a cut in my mouth.

  • Quick question about one of Jesus' parables?

In the parable of the talents (where the master gives 10 talents to one, 5 talents to another, and one talent to the last) I understand the parable, but I don't understand something that was said in it.

The last servant tells the master "I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed." What is the significance of this statement, which the master verifies?

The parable would have been the same without it, so am I missing something, an important message or point?

  • How often is acceptable for a Chipotle visit?

I'm 15 and over the summer, my mom's working so my dad and I usually get fast food or eat leftovers after summer school. A couple times a week we'll go to Chipotle, and recently I got recognized by one of the workers. For you regular Chipotle customers, how often do you go?

  • Why is there a rough spot on the roof of everyone's mouth?

In my mouth, and in pictures of other peoples' mouths, the roof of the mouth is relatively smooth except for in the very front, where there are a bunch of ridges. What are those ridges for?

If it's not clear what I'm talking about, lick the roof of your mouth, and near the front should be ridges. Or search up "roof of mouth" on Google Images, the first few should picture them.

  • Are the 50 states really provinces, not states?

My history teacher and book define a state as having four characteristics- population, recognized boundaries, sovereignty, and the power to make and enforce laws. The United States have all of these characteristics except sovereignty, because all of them answer to the Federal government and the Constitution.

Why is it we then call them states, unless my teacher is wrong?

  • Is learning four languages in high school a good idea?

I'm a freshman going on sophomore, and I have already found a love for languages unmatched by any other subject.

I flew through Spanish I with ease, never having to study, and am already studying for Spanish II to skip to III next year. For a semester project for English, I learned Quenya from Lord of the Rings, so I know it's not just a Spanish thing.

I already made plans to start German next year, and I'm planning on taking only the required amount of credits (with an extra semester of biology) so I have time to take four years of Spanish, three of German, and two of Latin and French.

I'm already all-weighted in academic classes, so I'm not worried about looking "lazy" to colleges. I'm not even shooting for Ivy League, just a respectable college.

My mom is angry because she thinks I should do something else to explore my options, but I already explored them and I know that I definitely don't want to study in, say, business or economics. Are there good job opportunities for someone like me? Would colleges even accept the minimum credits to graduate, even with four languages?
