Is 10 megs the same as 10 Mbps?
I am getting Suddenlink Internet and they said my I am purchasing "10 megs." I was on the website to see what my broadband usage would be and it said that 10 to 30 Mbps would get 250 GB a month.
Is megs and Mbps the same thing?
Also, it 250GB more than enough for a regular person that the only downloading I ever really do is from Youtube?

Most internet providers give numbers in terms of megabits....if they say megs I'd assume they are referring to mega bits. You'll have to read the fine print. A megabit is much smaller than a megabyte.
250 GB is a lot of youtube.
Pay attention to the capitalization....MBps is megabytes per second, Mbps is megabits. The same goes for other measurements...A KB is a kilobyte, a Kb is a kilobit. An MB is a megabyte, an Mb is a megabit and so on. There are 8 bits in a byte.
People mix this up all the time...confusing bytes with bits.

10 megs stands for 10 megabits per second, or 10 Mbps for short. Also, 250gb is PLENTY of bandwidth per month. You would have to download 250+ hours of SD quality YouTube videos to max that out.
