translate sentence into Spanish? no Google translator..?

how would i say this in Spanish with proper conjugation: "I would save most of the money and use it for only when i really needed it throughout my life." right now im thinking it's "yo guardaria la mayor del dinero y lo usaria solo cuando necesito durante mi vida"...but im pretty sure that wrong someone help please native speakers prefered...

    Yo ahorraría la mayor parte del dinero para usarlo solo en caso de necesidad

    durante toda mi vida

    To save money is ahorrar dinero.

    Related word: Ahorro = discount. You see

    this in stores all the time.

    Most of the money = La mayoría del dinero

    or la mayor parte del dinero.

    So I'd translate it as

    Yo ahorraría la mayoría del dinero y lo usaría solo

    cuando lo necesite durante la vida.
