My dog lost a lot of weight?
I have a siberian husky, and we left her at a daycare for a week due to the the fact my family had to go to a wedding in Italy and we couldn't bring her. Also, no one else could take care of her, so we had no choice. We researched the daycare, and there were good reviews, so we weren't worried. However when we got back to pick her up, she lost a LOT of weight. She is at least 10 pounds underweight now. We are thinking she wasn't treated right nor fed right. The daycare claims that she was "homesick" and didn't want to eat.
Is this a true possibility? If not, what can I do about this??
My dog is eating now, hopefully she will gain weight soon. :(

Yes she will get fit again soon. My dog did that when we left him at the kennel for a week. He didn't eat for a few days. Then when he got home he would scarf his food down.

OF COURSE dogs away from home sometimes do not eat. In fact, with huskies in particular I've experienced stress diarrhea from them. That's especially challenging because then we face a dehydration as well as a malnutrition issue.
Ten pounds in seven days is severe...my guess is that she had diarrhea as well as not eating.
Diarrhea and not eating is NOT the fault of the daycare. That is up to your dog.
That being said, you should have authorized the daycare to seek veterinary care on your behalf should it become necessary...and provided them a means to pay for it.
You pay the daycare to feed and care for your pet...they are not vets.
The next time you go away you should probably get a live-in pet sitter.

it could be parasites, or a disease, I doubt its homesick. Try to get her to a vet soon
