    Dear Galactic Mcawsomeville,

Kindly I ask you to edit your question with the type of laptop you have.

Much easier to find a replacement body for it, or like earlier menchent a secondhand and replace it yourself.

    How to replace it?

Start your browser, search with different search engines, use different phrases:

How to replace the body of my (brand and type)?

How to replace the skin of my (brand and type)?

A new body for my Hinge (type)

Secondhand body for my Hinge (type)

    Laptop Hinge skins

    Laptop Hinge body

    And so on.

You could try metal glue, epoxy glue or a very good plastic glue.

Trust me, they are more expensive than you think, you will have more skins for it when I'm not mistaken.

Some sell it cheap ad marketplace/ebay/amazon/and so on.

    Lenovo Z570 body

    Lenovo Z570 body ebay

    Lenovo Z570 skins

    Lenovo Z570 skins ebay

You can do this with marketplace/Amazon/and so on.

Hopefully I let you know enough and that you will find the answers you seek!

Good luck and have fun doing it!

Mmmm. You would are attempting some fairly powerful All rationale adhesive (that does plastic) or Superglue. Yo do not say whether the part that's cracked is on the Lid (display) or most important physique. I'd also consider seeking to receive the spares needed (e-Bay or Acer) fee it up in opposition to a brand new pc. I presume you have got already contacted Acer to see if it is a original obstacle? They is also sympathetic and repair it for you or at the least meet probably the most rate. (If you don't ask you do not get).

I was actually going to tell you to just sell your laptop. But since this is something you have no control over (you mentioned your mum,) the only way is for you to find a replacement on sites like ebay or laptopaid.com and then have it repaired. Good luck.
